Behind the Scenes
Many people usually ask us when the movie is due to come out and the honest answer is we don't know. When it comes to making an animated feature film time and dedication is taken into account. The majority of the crew helping to create this film are still in education and this means that we are limited to how much of the movie we can complete in each month. This page is an update page but also a behind the scenes page to allow our audience to have a better understanding of the progression we are achieving. At this current moment we are hoping to release the movie between late 2017 and mid 2018.
Above and on the left is an example of how we create our story boards. Usually we draw and write the story boards on paper with the script by our side as a guide. We then scan the story board onto the computer so we have a HD image of it. All the story boards for the movie have been created. However, sometimes story boards are recreated to improve what could happen in the scene. The two story boards you can see here are from the first few scenes of the movie.
The next stage of the process is Animatics, this is important as it is the first step to completing animation. This process is created with Red lines the majority of the time and only important scenes are drawn. Gaps are left between these drawings for later on so the animators can fill in the in-betweens and add more detail to the animation such as backgrounds and small details.
Finally the animation is finalised with Voice overs, colour, extra detail and backgrounds. This then allows the animation to be edited, rendered and uploaded to YouTube. A mini episode can take about 3-5 months to complete (Depending on how the long the video is).
